What You Protect, You Hold In Your Heart

Moving from Self Conscience Living to Source Conscious Living

What you love is held in your heart. How big is your heart?

The Problem

How do we…

  • naturally let Source live through us?

  • abide and let go and let Source do something through you?

  • move from “self-consciousness” to “Source-consciousness”?

  • move away from “it’s all about me” philosophy?

  • return to original design, living life in communion with our Source?

What does it mean to live “Self-conscious”?

  • trying to live a godly life but can’t

  • trying really hard to love this person but can’t

  • keep falling into the Satan’s lie thinking it is all about me; what I can do – Humanism

  • always think I can figure out right from wrong – Rationalism is “I can know”

Garden of Eden temptation catch phrase: God gave you a mind, use it. Satan tempted Eve to think she could “know” right from wrong. We came into agreement with the same lie agreeing to use our mind and come out of the relationship with God. We have learned how to let ourselves live out through us in self-conscious living.

“For God knows that in the day ‘you‘ eat from it ‘your‘ eyes will be opened, and ‘you‘ will be like God, ‘knowing‘ good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5)

There are a lot of “you’s” in this verse and a knowing that is developed into a philosophy about Humanism. When we are caught up in Humanism and Rationalism false philosophies, we live out of self and a wretched man syndrome.

  • Humanism – man at the center

  • Rationalism – man’s reasoning process at the center

  • Knowing – believing we know more than the Source

  • It is all about me applying myself

This Revelation Truth is a sound way to live. It is very counter cultural because in my culture it is all about me. If I don’t contain God then I am a self-contained unit. I live tuned to my mind, my own strength and I release my own energy into situations.

"For ‘I‘ do not understand my own actions. For ‘I‘ do not do what ‘I‘ want, but ‘I‘ do the very thing ‘I‘ hate. Now if ‘I‘ do what ‘I‘ do not want, ‘I‘ agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer ‘I‘ who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For ‘I‘ know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For ‘I‘ have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For ‘I‘ do not do the good ‘I‘ want, but the evil ‘I‘ do not want is what ‘I‘ keep on doing. Now if ‘I‘ do what ‘I‘ do not want, it is no longer ‘I‘ who do it, but sin that dwells within me. So ‘I‘ find it to be a law that when ‘I‘ want to do right, evil lies close at hand." – Romans 7:15-21

"Now if ‘I’ do what ‘I‘ do not want, it is no longer ‘I‘ who do it, but sin that dwells within ‘me‘. So ‘I‘ find it to be a law that when ‘I‘ want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For ‘I‘ delight in the law of God, in ‘my‘ inner being, 23 but ‘I‘ see in ‘my‘ members another law waging war against the law of ‘my‘ mind and making ‘me‘ captive to the law of sin that dwells in ‘my‘ members. 24 Wretched man that ‘I‘ am! Who will deliver ‘me‘ from this body of death?" – Romans 7:22-24

When you want to be utterly miserable, focus on yourself. In Romans 7, the problem is living self-conscious. I, me and my are found 20 times in these 6 verses. Just focus on what your going to be for the Son, how good you are going to be, and make yourself the center. You will be very miserable.

The Solution

How do we…

  • live naturally supernatural?

  • abide in the Source?

  • live tuned to the flow of the indwelling Source?

  • move have relationship with Source living through me?

  • love of the world and release love out through me?

What does it mean to live “Source-conscious”?

  • It is all about God – it is not about me, my greatness, my power

  • I contain God – we are vessels, we house Almighty God within us

  • I live tuned to His indwelling Spirit – I do not tune to my mind

  • I tune to the Christ who lives within me

  • I release the in-working power of God out through me

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the ‘Spirit of life‘ has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." – Romans 8:1-2

"If the ‘Spirit of Him‘ who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ‘He’ who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through ‘His Spirit who dwells in you." – Romans 8:11

God in me gives life to my mortal body through the Spirit of God. I choose to tune to the Spirit of God. I choose to touch that life and release that life out through me. I choose to do this all the time. Not once in a while. I choose to make this a lifestyle just as Jesus did.

(Spirit is mentioned 21 times in Romans 8.)

It is all about God

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I AM Almighty God; walk before Me, and be blameless." – Genesis 17:1

Did God say that He had all might or that He was all might?

Does He have might to give to me? Or is He the might himself?

When I demonstrate might with my right arm, whose might am I demonstrating?

If He is all of the might of the universe and I am demonstrating any might, it had to come from the One Who Is almighty. I may live in an illusion but it is His might extended out through me.

"For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." – Colossians 1:16-17

In Him all things hold together. Every atom holds together by the power of God. When scientists look at atoms, particles are spinning so rapidly they should not cling together; they should spin apart. There is a force holding them together that is bigger than the nucleus and scientists don’t know what that force is. God is the force that holds every atom in place. God is present everywhere. He is creator and sustainer of every single atom of the universe.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing,; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner…For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel…I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgement is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” (John 5:19, 20,30)

This verse says the Son can do nothing of himself. Did He choose to live this way? Could He have chosen differently? For me to choose to live this way is totally counter-cultural.

We believe we can do anything on our own. Just watch me. I get up and I do so much stuff. Self-conscious, I am the one in the center of the process. This is our western world view.

In these verses, the Son can do nothing unless the Son sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. Most of us have been trained to live differently. I was trained to set my mind to do something, apply myself to the task at hand and do it. Nike’s slogan is Just Do It! This is all about the wretched man syndrome.

Yet in these scriptures we see the Son tuned into his inward spirit and releasing what he senses into his sphere of influence. Could this be the proper way to live? Could we be vessels to house Almighty God?

Prayer

If I am trying to love this person, I say:

God, I thank you that you are the love of the universe. I thank you that you live within me. I thank you that I can tune my spirit to your flow, the river within me. I release your flow, the river of your love out through me to this person right now.
